Position Description:The Sr Project Manager will collaborate with various teams including General Contractors, Design Engineering Operations, Networking, Controls, Security, and Commissioning to help plan, execute, and close large-scale data center construction projects within the specified scope, budget, and timeline.Other responsibilities:Controlling project costs by monitoring budget, negotiating with contractors and change orders, and identifying opportunities for cost savings without sacrificing qualityIdentify potential risks early and devise strategies to mitigate them, ensuring the project remains on schedule and within budgetAssist in managing project schedule, ensuring deadlines are met, and potential delays are addressedFacilitate communication among various stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and regulatory authoritiesNavigating through the regulatory landscape, ensuring projects comply with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations and secure necessary permitsHave knowledge of critical data center equipment such as Generators, Uninterruptible Power Supplies, Switchgear, Transformers, Power Feeders, Chillers, Plumbing, Fire Detection/Suppression, Air Handling Units, Computer Room Air Handling/Conditioning Units, UPS, CRAH, CRACProviding continuity in the event of unforeseen circumstances or changes in the project team, ensuring that the project’s goals and vision remain consistentOffer valuable insights and recommendations for cost-effective solutions, helping owners in making informed decisions that balance quality and budget considerationsSupport and work directly with onsite Sr DCCM/PM and mentor other members of the build teamsAs a Sr PM, serve as the escalation point for complex constructability issuesRequirements:Strong understanding of project management methodologies and understanding of technical conceptsExcellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate with technical teamsAbility to manage timelines and ensure high-quality standardsMust be familiar with local, state, and federal regulations related to data center constructionExperience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, SharePoint, MS Project, Outlook, Procore, and PowerPointUnderstanding of cost management and risk mitigationEducation:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction ManagementExperience: 10 years’ experience in data center construction and data center project management. PE highly preferred (not required
