Our client is currently seeking a Lead Scientist (Laboratory Team Lead) to oversee a couple Jr. Level scientists as a subject matter expert in their operations environment. The Team Lead Scientist will be responsible for leading the group of scientists and support customer, operational, and technical interaction for heat transfer fluids. This person should be able to foster a collaborative environment based on team work. Candidates with 3-5 years of experience who have managed 1 or 2 persons in a Laboratory environment with a strong Analytical Chemistry background are preferred

This job will have the following responsibilities:Lead the group of scientists and support development / production of heat transfer fluids.Technical liaison to third party tollers: technical support for deviations to production process,Maintain and update formulation sheets, provide database support Technical support for customer complaints OEM support for fluid production:Communicate with OEM customers on PPAP, manage and resolve issues for OEM Fluid vLIMS database manager: maintains test plans, development work with IT, integration of instruments into vLIMSNew instrument development: maintain AFE requests for coolant group, work with coolant lab scientists to determine method developmentManagement of recipes in SAP
Qualifications & Requirements:Bachelor's of Science Degree in Chemistry or related field3+ years experience analyzing aqueous samples using HPLC, IC, and ICP.Knowledge of Heat Transfer fluids (antifreeze / coolant, etc.Experience with development of analytical test methods and laboratory methodsExperience managing complex projects and working with tight deadlines.
