What You’ll Do

As a Mechanical Engineer at Sentien Robotics, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing robotic designs for manufacturing and assembly. By incorporating Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles, you’ll ensure our robotic systems, including the Hive, are cost-effective, easy to produce, and maintain high-quality standards. You will also gain first-hand experience with our technology in the field, working directly with customers during testing and deployment. This hands-on involvement ensures you will see the real-world impact of your designs and play a key role in delivering solutions that meet customer needs.

•Own hardware from concept generation to real-world use•Build prototypes, analyze failures, and transition successful projects into production•Lead design improvements focused on simplifying components and reducing production costs.•Collaborate with vendors to optimize designs for manufacturability.•Work with the assembly team during production to improve ease of assembly and reduce time.•Use SolidWorks for CAD design and support broader engineering efforts.•Support critical hardware demonstrations with customers as needed

Required Qualifications

•Proficiency in SolidWorks and experience with CAD design.•2+ years of mechanical experience in a professional experience•Expertise in Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.•Hands-on experience in mechanical assembly and prototyping.•Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to balance cost, manufacturability, and performance.•BS, M.Eng, MS or higher in an engineering field•U.S. Person status is required as this position needs to access export-controlled data

Preferred Qualifications

•Experience in robotics, automation, or aerospace industries.•Familiarity with manufacturing processes like CNC machining, injection molding, and 3D printing.

US Salary Range

$110,000—$165,000 USD
