Position OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to handle work orders and general maintenance at our student housing properties. This full-time position is responsible for maintaining the physical integrity of our buildings, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring that our facilities meet safety and operational standards. The ideal candidate will have experience with property management maintenance and a commitment to quality work.

This position is an in-person role, located in College Station, TX.

Key ResponsibilitiesRespond promptly to resident work orders, addressing maintenance needs such as plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and appliance repairs.Perform routine maintenance and repairs on facilities, including painting, drywall patching, lighting, and general upkeep of common areas and apartments.Troubleshoot and repair equipment and systems in accordance with safety guidelines and building codes.Conduct regular inspections of property grounds, buildings, and equipment to identify and resolve potential issues before they escalate.Assist with unit turnovers between residents, including repairs, cleaning, and ensuring all units are move-in ready.Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, and notify management when reordering is necessary.Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.Collaborate with property management and other maintenance staff to ensure the highest standard of property upkeep.

QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical systems is preferred.Proven experience in maintenance work, preferably in student housing or property management.Strong knowledge of maintenance and repair proceduresAbility to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems independently.Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.Valid driver’s licensePhysical ability to perform heavy lifting, operate equipment, and work in a variety of environments (climbing, kneeling, standing, etc.).Strong communication skills and a positive, professional demeanor when interacting with residents and staff.Willingness to work on-call shifts as required.
