Graphic Technician

While working within manufacturing, laboratory, and office settings; this position is responsible for the timely completion of ink-jet prints, graphic files, printer maintenance, supply ordering, housekeeping, and other tasks as assigned.
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot large format ink-jet printers.Timely preparation of various graphics, sales samples, and full-sized orders. Samples may require laying up and laminating/pressing prints.Prepare sample graphics (PDTs) and render full scale prints. Create and scale precise large format monochrome vector graphics using Adobe Illustrator and printer RIP software.Perform minute color corrections of graphics using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and RIP software.Develops graphics for full size and lab size screens. Occasionally assist in screen printing/coating functions such as building screens.Organize and maintain master samples, graphic files, prints/laminates produced, and transparent positives.Performs printer troubleshooting and cleaning (head cleaning, capping station cleaning, identifying plugs and deflections in the nozzles, testing print head function).Routine maintenance activities such as removing, repairing, and re-installing ink pumps, print heads, dampers, motors, and belts.Maintains inventories of production materials and consumables such as ink-jet inks, wipers, and other printer components. Documents all work in a timely and thorough manner.Participation in Isovolta’s ISO 9001/AS9100 based QMS.Education: Graphic Arts, Graphic Design, or related education desirable but not required1 year of printing experience or graphics design preferred
