TEC GROUP IS SEEKING SENIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEERS FOR OUR LEADING MEP ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY DESIGN CLIENT

CORE RESPONSIBILITIESWork closely with senior engineers through the design and construction administration process.Create electrical designs with RevitConduct analyses to develop electrical design options and recommendationsAssist in the planning and design of electrical systems for commercial facilities, including education, healthcare, office facilities, and other commercial and industrial projects.Perform engineering calculationsCircuiting of lighting, receptacles, HVAC and miscellaneous equipmentLearn to layout lighting fixtures & controlsLearn basic fire alarm schematic designLearn to conduct on-site technical visits: Monitor field installation and testingAssist in the preparation of proposals, cost estimates, and equipment schedulesPropose innovative solutions to design issuesCoordinate project scope, design, and deadlines with project managers/senior engineersPerform submittal and shop drawing reviews and ensure timely response to RFI’sConduct construction site reviews, prepare feasibility studies, and basis of design reportsManage tasks as required to ensure work is completed on time and budgetActive participant in the design and construction project team meetingsCoordinate, support, and communicate with colleagues across disciplinesMaintain good relationships with internal and external stakeholdersEnsure that designs are compliant with Building/Energy Codes and LEED standardsImplement design in BIM environmentOther duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONSMinimum 5 years’ experience as an Electrical Designer or other related roleKnowledge of codes, standards, and construction/engineering processesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProclivity for catching the error and enacting appropriate changesAbility to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment with multiple project deadlines.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, BIM 360, Revitand other engineering analysis and compliance software.Bachelor’s degree in Electrical EngineeringProfessional Engineer (PE) Certification requiredEngineer in Training (EIT) Certification preferredLEED Accreditation

SALARY IS BASED ON EDUCATION, SKILL SET, AND YEARS OF EXPERIENCE.
