We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) to lead financial strategy and performance for a high-growth, private equity-backed insurance firm focused on unique insurance solutions and underwriting partnerships. In this role, you will work closely with the CFO and executive team to drive financial planning, support key business functions, and contribute to expansion across the U.S. and European markets. The ideal candidate will bring advanced skills in financial modeling, strategic analysis, and executive collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Analysis & Forecasting:Partner with Corporate Development, Sales, Marketing, Underwriting, Tech, and Product teams to drive financial forecasting and support strategic decisions for U.S. and European operations.Provide high-level financial analysis, helping business units leverage data to support growth and operational initiatives.
Advanced Financial Modeling & Scenario Analysis:Build and optimize complex financial models specific to the insurance industry, including in-depth scenario and sensitivity analyses.Develop and manage a three-way financial statement model, providing strategic recommendations for senior leadership based on operational data.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Executive Communication:Serve as a key liaison between the CFO, operational leaders, and executives, providing critical insights and recommendations.Engage with the private equity firm, CEO, and COO regularly to maximize EBITDA and support financial strategy through data-driven insights.Investor Relations & Reporting:Lead the preparation of materials for monthly financial reviews, PE investor calls, and board presentations, ensuring clarity and strategic alignment.Oversee data room management and coordinate reporting for acquisition targets, supporting growth initiatives and accurate financial transparency.
Requirements:Extensive experience in FP&A or a similar leadership role within insurance, financial services, or a private equity-backed company; an investment banking background is highly desirable.Advanced financial modeling skills, including robust experience in scenario and sensitivity analyses.Strong strategic and analytical mindset with excellent executive communication skills.Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with executive leadership and adapt in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.
