IT Asset Management Lead (Hardware & Software)

We are looking for an IT Asset Management Lead for a major firm headquartered in CT.This is a contract to hire role, no third-party resumes please.MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN BOTH SOFTWARE AND HARDWARE ASSET MANAGEMENTIf in CT, must be onsite once a week if out of CT but commutable, every other week - 1 day.
Responsibilities:Plan, monitor, and record the software license assets for the organization (governance, compliance and accuracy)Develop and promote an effective software strategy, policy, and best practices within the organizationWork with business stakeholders to manage the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of the IT asset repositories (CMDB or similar)Perform verification and auditing of the asset management database for efficiencyMake sure the content of the database is accurateMaintain an accurate inventory of software assets including version control, licensing details and usage statisticsEstablish and maintain documentation of procedures, processes, and reports concerning asset and configuration managementEnsure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and policies related to asset management.Perform research on industry best practice and incorporate it with organizational practicesPerform regular reconciliations between the in-house developed asset management platform (HUB) and enterprise platform (ServiceNow) to align asset data and address discrepancies.Perform regular reconciliations between the in-house developed Software Request Tool platform (SORETO) and enterprise platform (Tanium) to align software installations and address discrepancies.Review and update asset deployment procedures to comply with company policies and RTRC requirements.Regularly audit asset data in both systems to ensure completeness and accuracy.
QualificationsStrong background in hardware and software asset management (licensing, procurement, IT Operations, etc)Strong understanding of ITIL principles and best practices.Experience with ITIL, ITSM or ITAM tools are requiredServiceNow experience a plusExperience in software such as Microsoft, SharePoint a plusAbility to analyze data and provide insightsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and in a team environmentAttention to detail and accuracyBachelor's degree or similarProject management experience is a plusAbility to work with large data setsProficiency in Excel is a plus
