As a growing company, we are looking for a motivated Survey Technician to join our team who can contribute to our excellence in surveying.As a Survey Technician, you will assist our field survey teams in conducting data collection, operating cutting-edge surveying instruments, and preparing detailed survey reports. You'll work on a variety of projects, including boundary, topographic, and construction layout surveys. This role provides a unique opportunity for those who are passionate about innovation in land surveying and eager to grow their skills in a forward-thinking company that offers upward mobility.Primary ResponsibilitiesAssist in field data collection under the guidance of senior staff, using robotic total stations, terrestrial laser scanners, SLAM devices, UAVs, and GNSS receivers.Conduct boundary, topographic, and construction layout surveys in diverse field environments.Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot advanced survey instruments.Accurately log and record survey data for later processing.Assist in the creation of basic survey sketches and perform data entry into AutoCAD or other related software.Collaborate with Survey Party Chiefs and Survey Technician II’s to ensure the completion and accuracy of survey data.Adhere to safety standards on all project sites.
Qualifications:1-2 years of experience in land surveying or geomatics (entry-level candidates welcome).High school diploma or equivalent. An associate degree or technical certificate in surveying, geomatics, or civil engineering is preferred.
Basic understanding of land surveying principles, including measurements, data collection, and boundary calculations.
Strong attention to detail, team player, and effective communication skills.
Ability to work in outdoor environments, sometimes in challenging weather or terrain. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
Familiarity with survey equipment such as levels, total stations, and GPS systems. Experience with AutoCAD or similar drafting software is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:Familiarity withAutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, or GIS software is advantageous.

Certification as a Certified Survey Technician (CST) is a bonus but not required.
