Position Overview:-
We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented
Project Director
to oversee a major $500 million heavy highway and bridge construction project in Massachusetts. This is a leadership role that requires comprehensive expertise in managing large-scale infrastructure projects, including highways, interchanges, and bridge structures.
The Project Director will be responsible for ensuring that all project components are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. This is an exceptional opportunity to lead a flagship project with significant community impact.
Key Responsibilities:-
Project Leadership & Strategy
Oversee all aspects of project execution, ensuring alignment with project goals and the strategic objectives of the organization. Provide leadership across multidisciplinary teams, including project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and consultants.
Stakeholder Management
Act as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders, including local and state government officials, community representatives, clients, and project partners. Maintain strong working relationships to ensure collaboration and transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
Financial Oversight
Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to ensure that the project is completed within the approved financial parameters. Identify cost-saving opportunities and risk mitigation strategies to optimize project finances.
Project Scheduling
Direct the planning and scheduling of all project phases, ensuring adherence to timelines and critical milestones. Implement corrective actions when necessary to keep the project on track.
Safety & Compliance
Establish and enforce robust safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment for all employees and contractors. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including environmental and permitting requirements.
Quality Assurance
Lead the project’s quality management program, overseeing quality control processes to ensure all work meets or exceeds design specifications and industry standards.
Risk Management
Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to minimize project delays and cost overruns. Implement proactive measures to address potential issues, including environmental concerns, site challenges, and unexpected scope changes.
Team Development
Build, mentor, and motivate a high-performing project team. Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to cultivate a collaborative and efficient work environment.
Required Qualifications:-
Experience
Minimum of 15 years in construction management, with at least 10 years in senior leadership roles on large-scale heavy highway and bridge projects, preferably projects over $500 million in value.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA, MS in Engineering) preferred.
Certifications
Professional Engineer (PE) license or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
Technical Expertise
Extensive knowledge of highway, bridge, and interchange construction, including structural engineering principles, project scheduling software, budget management tools.
Leadership Skills
Proven ability to lead large, diverse teams and manage complex relationships with multiple stakeholders.
Communication Skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to high-level stakeholders and engage in productive negotiations.
