Seeking a professional to manage Data Subject Requests (DSRs) under GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy laws. This role involves the end-to-end processing, tracking, and timely completion of client, employee, or third-party DSRs while ensuring compliance with firm policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities:Manage DSRs in accordance with GDPR, CCPA, and global privacy regulationsTrack and log DSRs using workflow systems; ensure completion within regulatory timelinesLiaise with internal stakeholders (e.g., HR) to gather relevant personal dataReview and redact confidential, privileged, or non-personal data; apply legal exemptions where necessaryRespond to data subject and third-party queries or complaintsReview privacy controls for vendors and ensure appropriate contractual agreementsAssess privacy terms and data processing agreements for client engagements
Requirements:Strong understanding of GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and global privacy laws2-3 years' experience in legal, compliance, risk, audit, or similar functionsExperience in large organizations with complex technological environmentsIntermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel); SharePoint experience preferredExperience with Relativity or similar platforms is a plusCIPM and/or CIPP/E certification preferred but not requiredExperience in reviewing privacy-related contractual arrangements and tracking cross-border data transfersFamiliarity with OneTrust and relevant certifications is a plusLikely to extend beyond 5 months due to multiple ongoing projects, with potential for contract-to-hire. Position is 100% remote, supporting EST hours.
