About the Role:
The client is seeking a full-time Production Manager to head the team in the Greater Chicago area. In this role, you’ll lead and oversee all food production operations, ensuring top-notch quality control across both corporate and franchise restaurants nationwide. You’ll ensure full compliance with FDA, USDA, and HACCP standards, spearheading safety and sanitation initiatives at every level—local, state, and federal. As the driving force behind our food production processes, you’ll develop and train your team, manage vendor relationships, and conduct audits to maintain excellence. Responsibilities:
Implement and manage the daily production schedule while strategically planning staffing to meet operational demands.Drive continuous improvement initiatives through effective problem-solving and prioritization of multiple tasks and projects.Ensure compliance with sanitation guidelines, food safety standards, and relevant regulations while overseeing quality and waste management.Direct all aspects of manufacturing operations.Foster strong communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams to create a supportive and empowering work environment.Maintain high employee morale through positive communication and innovative thinking, driving a productive workplace culture.Monitor equipment maintenance and manage inventory to prevent shortages or waste, ensuring smooth food production processes.Communicate regularly with upper management on production issues while ensuring adherence to Food Safety policies and audit requirements.
What we need to see (Essential):
Fluent in English and Spanish, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.7-10 years of experience in food production and distribution within a food manufacturing plant.Strong knowledge of food safety standards and Good Manufacturing Practices as defined by regulatory agencies (FDA, USDA, County Health Department).Familiarity with HACCP principles and food service regulations.Proven ability to foster a culture of safety and develop effective safety programs in a food manufacturing environment.Experience in inventory management.
What we would like to see (Non-essential):
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.Experience with pizza production.Proven ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.

$75,000 - $90,000 + bonus
