Job Title: Senior Electrical EngineerLocation: Minneapolis, MNPay: $55.00 to $59.90 hourly on W2
We prefer somebody who is local to Minneapolis, MN since this is an onsite position. We can consider somebody out of state but we do not offer relocation assistance
Support the development, testing, fabrication, and fielding of highly complex military equipment. In this role, the Electrical Engineer: researches, plans, designs, develops, modifies, and evaluates electronic and electrical systems and components. Utilizing advanced modeling and analysis tools to develop product specifications, models, simulations, technical data packages, and integration and verification procedures. Evaluates vendor capabilities, technologies, services, and their ability to deliver required products or services The qualified candidate will work under the general direction of a project engineering lead to perform electrical system design on a variety of military systems, ranging from combat vehicles, gun systems, and guided munitions. The Electrical Engineer provides detailed engineering analysis of components, subsystems, and systems for military product application.
SkillsAbility to solve moderately complex technical design and development problems that require a professional level of engineering knowledgeExperience in creating, reading, and comprehending schematics and interconnect drawings.Ability to create and manage interface control documents.Ability to perform circuit simulation (PSpice or LTspice)Effective verbal and written communication skills to convey data, information, and technical results to customers.
ExperienceExperience with analog and digital circuit design and analysis • Experience developing technical documentation – such as drawings, reports, & and technical analysis
Preferred:Familiarity with relevant military and commercial design standards • Familiarity with MATLAB, Simulink, PSpice, LabVIEW • Familiarity with computer programming languages, e.g. C, C#, LabWindows/CVI • Working knowledge of OrCAD and Visio, circuit board schematic & layout tools • Familiarity with design for components in a high EMI environment • Systems Engineering and manufacturing knowledge.
EducationTypically requires 3+ years relevant experience with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related field or 2+ years with a Master's degree
