Assistant Construction Manager.

The individual will work with the Construction Manager to oversee the electrical, instrumentation, and control installations of water and wastewater construction projects to ensure they are built per the plans, specifications, and national, state, and local codes. Responsibilities include reviewing shop drawings/submittals/O&M manuals, responding to contractor RFI’s, reviewing contractor change orders, making site observations/inspections, assisting with startup and testing, preparing punch lists/reports, and creating as-builts/record drawings. Candidates must have experience managing or installing electrical systems and commissioning electrical equipment. The candidate will review electrical power distribution equipment, control panels, instrumentation, and mechanical equipment submittals to ensure they are electrically compatible with the electrical design.The position requires travel throughout the Southwest with occasional overnight stays. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license.Skills/Requirements:Collaborate with civil engineering professionals and municipal agencies.Strong knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC).Detail-orientated.Must have experience using plans and specifications to manage or build a project.Must be experienced using Adobe or Bluebeam PDF software, Microsoft Word, and Excel. A basic understanding and ability to use AutoCAD is a plus.Must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills, work well with others, and be capable of working on multiple projects simultaneously.Candidates are subject to a pre-employment background check and drug test.Electrical design experience is preferred but not required.Bachelor's degree is preferred, but not required.Experience using SKM Power Systems Software is preferred but not required.
