We are looking for a Landscape Architect to join our Landscape Architecture studio with more than 5 years of experience in Landscape Architecture to join our expanding team in Houston, TX.

The ideal candidates we are looking for will be passionate, collaborative, and innovative landscape architects. This role involves key support for planning, designing, and securing permits for landscape architecture, land development, and planning projects. You will have the opportunity to work on integrated design projects for a variety of public and private sector clients, both across the U.S. and internationally. Our teams partner with a wide variety of private and public clients, designing spaces such as urban revitalization and streetscape, retail and commercial projects, school and university design, healthcare clients, smart growth planning, community design, rooftop and courtyard projects, and brownfield redevelopment assignments. The successful candidate will enhance and work alongside our expanding group of designers.

Job Responsibilities:

Support the planning, design, and permitting of landscape architecture, civil engineering, land development, and infrastructure projects using software tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, SketchUp, Photoshop, and Illustrator to prepare landscape and design documents.Conduct zoning, ordinance, and permit reviews and assist in evaluating project feasibility based on data analysis.Help prepare and update design and engineering documents, including reports, specifications, plans, schedules, cost estimates, and project design plans.Analyze soil composition, terrain, hydrology, and topographical and geological data to assess their impact on project planning and design, using reports, maps, drawings, engineering plans, tests, and aerial images.Perform field inspections as needed.Carry out additional duties as required.

Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a landscape architecture firm -Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited institutionOver 5 years of relevant experienceLicensed Landscape ArchitectStrong planning and design expertise on urban and large-scale institutional projectsDisplays a strong commitment to design excellence and tackling the challenges of creating vibrant urban spacesHighly creative with outstanding proficiency in Adobe Suite, SketchUp, and AutoCADPossesses excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, both verbal and writtenProven capability to take direction effectively and collaborate well within a teamHas dependable transportation for job site access and holds a valid driver’s license in good standing
