Tact Staff is seeking a travel Respiratory Therapist for a travel job in Toledo, Ohio. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Respiratory Therapist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 12/03/2024 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours Employment Type: Travel Must obtain NRP prior to start date Must have experience with assisting in high risk deliveries Floating required as needed within the Metro Region between Toledo, Flower, Bay Park Hospitals - This includes mid shift floating when needed to ensure all guaranteed hours are worked. Rooms: 700 beds Patient Age Group Required: Adults and Geriatrics Peds (preferred) Therapist will assist in pediatrics and with Peds ER patients so must be comfortable with all ages, doe not have to have specific Pediatric hospital experience. Helpful to have recent high risk delivery experience. Must be comfortable with basic pediatrics Resp Therapy care. 7 adult ICUs with 16 beds each, pediatric and adult acute care. Treats and educates all patient populations with diagnoses including but not limited to; asthma, COPD, emphysema, pneumonia, and non-pulmonary diagnoses. Performs both general and critical care to include but not limited to; medication delivery, bronchopulmonary hygiene and hyperinflation therapy, initiation, management, and weaning of invasive and non-invasive ventilation, airway management and suction, cuff and ETCO2 monitoring, intubation assist, extubation, and maintenance of indwelling lines. Responds to rapid responses and emergency codes, and performs CPR. Blood gas sampling and analysis, specimen collection and spontaneous breathing parameters. preferred experience - Changing tubing and bags for invasive lines/arterial lines is RRT’s responsibility on Toledo and Bay Park campuses. Work Setting Experience: Adult Critical Care, Emergency Department Airway Management Devices/Suctioning Required: Endrotracheal tube/suctioning, Extubation, Nasal airway placement, Nasal airway suctioning, Oral airway placement, Oropharyngeal/suctioning, Pulmonary Hygiene, Sputum specimen collection, Tracheostomy/suctioning Care of the Patient With: Bronchoscopy Medication Administration Required: Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, Flovent, Inhaled steroids, Perforomist, Pulmicort, Racemic epinephrine, Spiriva, Xopenex Medication Delivery Systems Required: Aerosol set up mask, Aerosol set up trach, Medihaler, Metered dose inhaler Nebulizer Required: Hand held, T-piece, Trach collar Oxygen therapy Required: High Flow Nasal Cannula, Trach collar Ventilator Management Required: BiPAP, CPAPA, Weaning from mechanical ventilation Neonatal/Peds Produces Required: Assist in high risk delivery Professional Knowledge and Skills Required: ABG interpretation Epic Required Equipment Experience: Servo I, Avea, Bella Vista Required Certifications and Licenses: BLS, ACLS, NRP, OH RRT Minimum Experience Required: 1 year Unit Accepts first-time Travelers Scrub color Grey No local travelers within 50 miles Tact Medical Staffing Job ID 495895.
