Portfolio Product Coach
is a critical component for groups of large, scaled Product Teams. The Portfolio Product Coach focuses on the overarching framework for the organization in question. They must be able to understand how the different pieces of team architecture, functionality, and development fit into the global structure. This requires them to be able to switch between a micro and macro viewpoint of the development of the organization.This is a remote position open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States and requires up to 15% travel for the year.What you will be doing:Form and coach the Product Team to ensure cohesive flow and dependency managementUnderstand and communicate architectural needs and requirements across teamsMaintain the integrity of the end-state vision across a diverse group of teamsProvide guidance, validation, and context to teams to assist with alignment to end-state goalsCollaborate with the Expedition Lead to ensure that the focus for the teams remains on the end state, with the knowledge that this may constitute a shifting targetArticulate architectural and developmental specifics from teams to leadership accuratelyYou should apply if you have:7-10 years relevant experience with a bachelor's degree or equivalentStrong experience working with Lean; must have a breadth of experience in a variety of Agile practices (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.) and portfolio management experienceKnowledgeable of new/emerging practices and coaching techniques (attendance and participation at conferences, user groups, speaking engagements, blogging etc.)Prior experience mentoring teams to adopt Agile practices as an external coach, ScrumMaster, or Product OwnerProject management experience, as well as a background in technical implementation to support development and architectural requirementsWhy work for us?The work you do at McGraw Hill will be work that matters.
