Water/Wastewater Project Engineer/Assistant Project Manager
If you are a Water/Wastewater Project Engineer looking to make the jump to Project Manager, or a seasoned Assistant Project Manager ready to immediately take over a project WE NEED YOU!
This position requires 3+ years of Project Engineer experience in a self-perform environment and expertise in water transmission and distribution systems, pumping stations, conveyance systems, water treatment systems, water/wastewater distribution planning, master planning, and treatment plant rehabilitation and expansions.

Responsibilities
Serves as the project engineer for multiple projects within the Phoenix Metro AreaManages the preparation and modification of reports, specifications, plans, studies, and designs for water sector projectsIndependently evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures, criteria, and uses sound judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications;Organizes and leads meetings with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders;Prepares preconstruction cost estimates/engineer’s estimates of probable cost for projects;Provides management oversight during the construction phase of projects for review of shop drawings, RFIs, and design clarifications;Leads permitting activities with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies;Coordinates and works with various disciplines in the execution of the work; andWorks closely with a team of engineers to provide guidance and mentorship in the execution of designs;Works closely with client account leader in pursuit of preparation and development;Ability to lead a multi-disciplined team of engineers;Experience working on design-build projects.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Environmental or similar)3+ years of experience; With a broad range of stormwater, water/wastewater, and reclaimed water facilities, pumping systems, and linear pipelines projects from planning, permitting, construction, and startup;Capable of managing clients, and production teams for large water and wastewater projects;Experience leading multi-disciple teams during design;Experience in presenting complex issues to clients in both written and oral presentations;Mentoring of staff;Adherence to schedules and budgets;Self-starter with the ability to lead and manage people and projects;High motivation and passion to provide exceptional client service;Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to prepare and present effective technical reports.
