What’s involved in this role:
We are looking for a Area Production Manager in Jerome, ID.
The Area Production Manager supervises, coaches, trains, and provides mentoring to supervisors and operators in the department area. This position provides technical knowledge to operators to increase their skills and help them perform their job in a successful manner.
Provide training and coaching to ensure compliance with Safety standards and incident prevention.Support the delivery of operational excellence through excellent execution via the use of operational improvement tools such as AOS, Run to Target, Focused Improvement, and Direction Setting.Analyze laboratory data, data trending, and react accordingly data trending.Coach supervisors and hourly employees in the department to follow company standard Good Manufacturing Practices in their daily production runs.Maintain compliance with food safety programs and HACCP.Manage reporting of yields, recovery and maximize opportunities.Monday-Friday; day shift
What you need to join our teamBachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Business, Operations Management, or any other related field preferred.Minimum five (5) years of experience in manufacturing required.Supervisory experience required.Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.

Our Jerome, ID, plant is home to about 440 employees and processes about 7 million pounds of milk per day. This facility produces various types of cheese, including cheddar, monterey jack, muenster, mozzarella and provolone. It also runs various whey streams, such as deproteinized whey, sweet dairy whey, GMP, permeate, instantized and our top-rated BiPro products.
Agropur’s US operations produce 1 billion pounds of quality, award-winning cheese each year. We create more than 20 different varieties, and provide whey protein and dry ingredients which are by-products of the cheesemaking process.
