The Design Thinking and Speculative Design Facilitator will play a critical role in guiding clients through ideation processes using design thinking methodologies and speculative design techniques. This individual will lead workshops, facilitate brainstorming sessions, and help clients conceptualize forward-thinking solutions that challenge the status quo. The ideal candidate is a creative thinker, an expert facilitator, and a strategic problem-solver with a deep understanding of human-centered design.
Responsibilities
Facilitation: Lead and facilitate design thinking workshops and speculative design sessions for clients, fostering creative ideation and innovative problem-solving. Speculative Design: Employ speculative design methods to help clients envision future scenarios and explore potential innovations that address long-term challenges. Client Engagement: Work closely with clients to understand their needs, goals, and challenges, and tailor facilitation approaches to meet those needs effectively. Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams, including designers, strategists, and technologists, to integrate diverse perspectives into the ideation process. Prototyping: Guide clients in developing low-fidelity prototypes to visualize and test speculative ideas, facilitating iterative refinement based on feedback. Thought Leadership: Stay abreast of the latest trends in design thinking and speculative design, and contribute to the firm's thought leadership in these areas. Documentation: Capture and synthesize insights from workshops and sessions, providing clients with clear, actionable recommendations and roadmaps. Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in Design, Innovation, Business, or a related field. Experience: 3+ years of experience in facilitating design thinking workshops, speculative design sessions, or similar creative ideation processes. Strong expertise in design thinking methodologies and speculative design techniques. Excellent facilitation skills with the ability to engage and inspire diverse groups of participants. Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities. Ability to translate complex concepts into clear, actionable ideas. Proficiency in prototyping tools and techniques. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset. Creative, visionary, and forward-thinking with a passion for exploring future possibilities. Adaptable and open to new ideas, with a strong commitment to continuous learning. Detail-oriented and organized, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Crowe, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $45,360.00 to $87,516.00 per year.
