A law firm is seeking a Mid-Level Environmental Regulatory Associate Attorney to join its team in New York City, NY. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental law and regulatory compliance, along with excellent communication and analytical skills.Duties:Effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with clients, colleagues, and third parties.Produce high-quality deliverables and respond to correspondence efficiently.Provide timely, accurate work products while meeting deadlines.Foster positive relationships within the firm and with external stakeholders.Comply with all firm policies and procedures.Engage in both physical and sedentary activities, including extended computer use and participation in meetings.Perform additional duties as assigned.Requirements:Admitted to practice in Washington, D.C., and at least one other state.Minimum of 3 years of experience in environmental law.Prior experience in a law firm or agency setting.Background in key environmental statutes and regulations, including TSCA, FIFRA, CAA, CWA, CERCLA, and RCRA.Concentrated experience in environmental litigation and regulatory compliance.Familiarity with federal and state environmental agencies (e.g., EPA, NOAA).Education & Certifications:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Active Bar membership in Washington, D.C., and another state.Skills:Strong analytical and writing abilities.Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.Good business judgment and ability to work independently and collaboratively.Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.Research, problem-solving, and conceptual thinking capabilities.Persuasive communication and management skills.Familiarity with environmental issues in relevant industries (e.g., heavy metals, chemicals, maritime).Experience negotiating compliance and cost recovery agreements is a plus.
