Why do we need you ?
You will support the business by providing advanced network engineering expertise for industrial networks in approx. 20 CertainTeed roofing factories in North America. This position will be accountable for building Industrial Network Standards to be applied to factory industrial networks. This will require detailed assessment of current state and the ability to develop a gap analysis and roadmap to include budgeting. This position entails the design and solution implementation, management, troubleshooting support, of factory industrial OT networks on the floor, including servers, switches, HMI industrial PC's and numerous PLC's.This will include analyzing existing network infrastructure, identify weaknesses, vulnerabilities, and IT policy compliance issues. Suggest, develop, design, and implement solutions with a focus on reliability in close collaboration with the central IT/OT Team.Work closely with the factories to prepare and submit capital expenditure requests for major improvement projects.You will build and maintain highly-detailed network documentation including network diagrams and architectural assessments for support, audit, compliance and disaster recovery purposes.Develop capabilities in the factories by providing training of network troubleshooting for existing plant technical resources including automation and controls engineers and maintenance technicians.In this position, you will be responsible for production support and business issue resolution. In order to do this effectively, you will be the first contact for end user technical inquiries and network issues and will work directly with the central IT/OT Team in problem analysis and customer concerns.You will collaborate with Engineering and Developers/Data Architects to provide an overarching data structure strategy for ISA95 type infrastructure as an example as well as change management, security measures, and information architecture implementation for data collection solutions & environments.

10+ years prior experience in this field.Bachelor's degree in related fieldValid CCNP certification is preferred, valid CCNA certification is required.Thorough knowledge and experience of specifying, designing, implementing and maintaining equipment for industrial and business networking, servers, firewalls, switches, PC's.Direct knowledge and experience with VMware products and solutions.Experience designing and installing network switch and cabling infrastructure. To aid in design, CAD experience is a plus.Able to conduct research into networking issues and products as required.Comfortable working in an industrial plant manufacturing environment.Aptitude or interest in learning more about industrial HMI and PLC Programming / Troubleshooting. No previous experience in this area is absolutely required.Highly self-motivated and directed.Attention to detail.Strong project management skills with excellent written and verbal skillsProven analytical and problem-solving abilities.Knowledge of Cisco routers, switches and firewallsWi-Fi technologies (802.11) using Cisco and/or Aruba controllers and APsLoad balancing and application acceleration technologiesDynamic routing protocols including BGP, EIGRP, OSPF and RIPVPN protocols including IPSec, SSL and TLSVoIP protocols including SIP, H.323, H.248 and RTPPacket-level capture and traffic analysis tools such as Wireshark and/or tcpdumpCrafting and configuring QoSAbility and willingness to achieve and maintain relevant certifications and accreditations and remain up to date with related industry standards and trends.
