DESCRIPTION The Herbert Wertheim School of Public Health and Human Longevity Science is dedicated to creating and promoting public health innovations to advance equity, justice, and wellbeing for all. We are seeking a qualified, capable, and dynamic individual for a Doctoral Program Coordinator position to support our Public Health doctoral program. The Graduate Program Coordinator is independently responsible and accountable for providing comprehensive program management, strategic insights, and administrative support for the program. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
Support for the full range of activities involved in the doctoral program and curriculum development.
Develop and manage all admissions, recruitment, and outreach activities.
Plan and coordinate graduation, welcome, and other events for the program.
Serve as consultant to the Program Director and committees in analysis and formation of policy and key procedures for the program.
Responsible for student support funding management and tracking.
Assist with strategic planning and reporting to institutions of higher education nationwide.
Contribute to School accreditation, review, and reports processes related to the program.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Seven (7) years of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor's degree in related area plus three years of related experience/training.
Thorough knowledge of relevant policies and regulatory requirements.
Experience in academic advising, program/curriculum development, and course selection.
Demonstrated experience and documented excellence in oral and written communications skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work productively with anyone regardless of background.
Excellent organizational skills, analytical, and demonstrated attention to detail.
Thorough knowledge of educational software and platforms.
Strong decision-making skills and ability to use independent judgment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of doctoral program systems and working knowledge of the UCSD Graduate Procedures Manual.
Master's degree in public health, Adult Education, or a related field with at least 3 years of hands-on work experience in public health or related science educational programming.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
Employment is subject to a criminal background check.
Occasional evenings and weekends may be required.
Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $69,500 - $123,500 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $33.29 - $59.15
