This position will be based in our Washington D.C. office (hybrid). The Attorney Development Coordinator provides support to the overall Attorney Development function.Coordinates attorney new hire process, including Workday actions, personnel files preparations, planning orientation schedules, and conducting onboarding trainings.Coordinates transfer and departure process, including Workday actions, communications, and preparations for departures, including exit interview reports.Coordinates attorney leaves of absence, including DC Paid Family Leave and related attorney communications.Coordinates bar admissions, annual bar renewals, and related reporting.Responds to attorney employment verification requests.Provides coordination and support for attorney evaluations, including compiling data in preparation for review meetings and ensuring timely completion of evaluations and reviews.Maintains department files, central index of attorney personnel files, records, and calendars.Serves as a resource to attorneys in the DC office.Coordinates and supports overall department needs with special projects.Collaborates with Attorney Recruiting team on overlapping projects and priorities, and as assigned.Demonstrates effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective work relationships with others.Manages Firm resources responsibly.Complies with and understands Firm operations, policies, and procedures.Performs frequent physical exertion including: sitting, repetitive use of both hands, lifting, and carrying up to 10 pounds.Performs other related duties as assigned.QualificationsCurrent knowledge of industry best practices, trends, and techniques.Knowledge of relevant firm computer software programs (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel) with the ability to learn new software and operating systems.Ability to interpret and follow instructions.Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing.Demonstrates close attention to detail.Ability to handle multiple projects and shifting priorities.Ability to work well in a demanding and fast-paced environment.Flexibility to adjust hours and work the hours necessary to meet operating and business needs.Experience/EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent.
