Job Description

Oracle is now looking for a security professional to join our team. Oracle utilizes internal owned data center locations and third party external data centers managed by co-location service providers.

This position requires working on-site 5 days a week in Abilene TX

In this role you will provide security services on company premises. The physical security operations team is the primary interface with all clients, and ensures that client needs and expectations are met with high quality, industry standard programs and service

This position will be responsible for the leadership and development of teams, products and services within the Global Physical Security (GPS) operations line of business, with specialized functional expertise in the area of data center operational security, guard force management, crisis management programs, risk assessments, incident response and investigations.

The qualified candidate will report directly to the Director, Global Data Center Security Operations who is based in the USA.

This is a new position with a regional remit. Periodic regional travel will be required.

This is an individual contributor (IC) role and the position has no direct reports but will have oversight of contracted security staff across their scope of responsibility.

Responsibilities

What You Will Do:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Provide operational direction and oversight so that the GPS strategic initiatives in relation to the data center operational security program are implemented consistently. These include but not limited to:

Security guard force management at both internal and external data center locations.

Partnership with Oracle Lines of Business and external audit regulatory bodies to ensure physical security compliance with diverse auditory requirements including but not limited to SSAE 18, ISO, and PCI.

Incident response

Crisis Management

Customer Service-providing quality advice to Oracle employees on all aspects of Physical Security as it applies to data center security

Working with 3 rd party security service providers maintains global oversight for the recruitment, selection, orientation, training, development and retention of high caliber security guard force staff.

Maintains recognized industry standard physical security best practices by ensuring a positive, professional environment in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures; ensures that staff members understand and comply with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures.

Prepare and manage the data center security operations program budget for their area of responsibility.

Performs additional functions as directed by the Director, GPS Global Data Center Security Operations as necessary in order to achieve assigned business objectives.

What You Will Bring:

REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a minimum of 5 years of industrial security experience, combined with a minimum of 3 years of management and leadership experience ideally within a physical security/data center operational environment.

Strong understanding of industry specific legislations and compliance requirements as they apply to physical security operations in general and specific to data center security.

Experience of crisis management as it relates to physical security at corporate level.

A working knowledge of various security technology resources including, access control/CCTV systems. Proficient with all basic Microsoft computer software programs and communications techniques.

Ability to communicate and articulate with a high level of proficiency in both the written and verbal format at all levels up to and including Corporate Executive leadership.

Adept at customer service skills.

Must be a team player ideally with global exposure to working with individuals from different cultures, backgrounds and experiences.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY, IMPACT OF DECISIONS AND DEGREE OF SUPERVISION:

The Manager, Data Center Security Operations scope of responsibility will be regional in nature.

Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. This is a manager level position with minimal direct supervision a high degree of responsibility and operational impact on the business function. The qualified candidate will report directly to the GPS Director, Global Data Center Security Operations, who is based in the USA, and function under limited supervision.

PROCESSES AND METHODOLOGY USED TO PERFORM JOB:

This position will lead collaborative teams and resources to successful performance. Conduct analysis of business needs and identify programs & services required to meet those needs.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Ability to show experience in above required essential functions is mandatory.

BS/BA Degree desirable but not mandatory.

Industry certifications are preferred, but not required.

US: Hiring Range: from $56,200 to $112,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
