The Sr. Strategic Sourcing Specialist applies a thorough and analytical approach to developing and executing sourcing strategies designed to reduce total costs, enhance supplier value contributions, and secure a sustainable competitive edge in key direct sourcing categories. This role collaborates with divisional stakeholders to align and optimize sustainable sourcing strategies for the electronics category and will partner with cross-functional partners in Supplier Quality and Supplier Engineering to execute project deliverables, while ensuring product quality and cost savings.

Your responsibilities will include:Gathering market intelligence and trends for the electronics category and sub-categoriesIdentifying all suitable suppliers to develop comprehensive knowledge and supplier databaseGuiding respective internal leads through a holistic and systematic category approach to material and supplier selection and management; identify insourcing and outsourcing opportunitiesManaging strategic supplier relationships according to the category strategy and strategic differentiators for each supplierAnalyzing data and developing cost modeling tools (i.e. should-cost, COGS, etc.) to manage categoryCollaborating with stakeholders to identify and mitigate issues and supplier-related risksWorking with suppliers to promote continuous value improvement for quality, service, and costManaging supplier performance and identifying Value Improvement Programs (VIP) to improve the total cost of ownership (TCO)Establishing an optimal balance between collaborative engagement and competitive pressure with supply base to ensure the maximum value is realized, including negotiations on supplier contracts and value improvementsSupporting the annual budget process for assigned suppliers and resolving systematic issuesEstablishing early involvement to achieve development performance goals, support project timelines, and manage product cost

Required qualifications:Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, business or a related fieldMinimum 3yrs of direct sourcing experience and supplier relationship managementExperience with MS Excel and other applications (i.e. Word, PowerPoint, MS Project etc.)Ability to travel globally up to 20%

Preferred qualifications:Master's Degree or professional certification (i.e. CPSM, CPIM, CSCP, PMP, Lean Six Sigma, etc.)Experience sourcing for electronic components formanufacturing operationsExperience working in medical device or similar regulated industryStrong decision-making and negotiation skills, ability to influence internal and external teamsAbility to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams to complete projectsStrong interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate effectively with individuals on all levelsStrong critical thinking and analytical skills: process and results-orientedDetail oriented with strong organizational skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize competing responsibilities effectively
