What you’ll be doing…
As an Inventory Planner, you will be managing and implementing strategic initiatives in the Network Supply Chain (NSC) space with a focus on network inventory planning initiatives that will optimize processes, reduce inventory, and drive costs out of the business. You will be responsible for implementing high profile projects that cover over two billion dollars annual capital spend. You will be creating and deploying strategies that will change the end-to-end flow of RAN (Radio Access Network) while working closely with the Internal Network Supply Chain team and the Network Planning, Engineering, Implementation Teams.
Responsible for equipment demand to supply planning visibility for suppliers related to Verizon Network infrastructure.
Understanding demand planning processes and generating ideas to automate and improve by technical implementation of Tools and Reports.
Automating the planning process using existing platforms as much as possible, deriving forward-looking information from engineering tools and databases (Fuze, SAP S/4).
Collaborating with network supply chain planning teams on overall network strategy with consideration for inventory, stocking positions, and partner management.
Being a subject matter expert SME data inputs and partner with the Engineering Analytics team in understanding available data and views to help improve day to day responsibilities.
Building strategic relationships with cross functional stakeholders like Network Planning and Engineering to strategize and execute on pooling initiatives, automation, and special projects.
Partnering with cross functional regional teams on forecasting, consumption, supply planning, and replenishment processes supporting Global Supply Chain cost savings programs.
Providing analytics and work with supply planning on VMI/VCI/JIT/CPFR/Pooling programs.
Analyzing forecast needs for inventory, purchasing, and engineering systems in order to improve on upstream data and information.
Generating ad-hoc requests combining data from multiple data sources owned by various technical partners utilizing applications such as Tableau, SQL Server, Oracle, Excel and Google Sheets.
Providing guidance, leadership, and support to team members.
Ensuring deliverables are completed on time and with a high level of quality.

You’ll need to have:
Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
Experience in Wireless Network Equipment Engineering or RAN Planning.
Hands-on experience with technologies such as .Net Core, ASP .Net, SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL or equivalent technologies.
Experience in SQL.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
A degree in Supply Chain, Engineering or a related field.
Knowledge of Demand Planning Processes.
Demonstrated strong Google Sheets (or Excel) skills.
Strong familiarity with ERP systems, Supply Chain Planning Systems, SAP, and Tableau.
Experience working with Git, JIRA, and GitLab or in Windows Server.
Experience utilizing and administering Microsoft SQL Server Instance.
Ability to successfully carry out large scale projects.
End-to-end Supply Chain experience with demonstrated ability to manage inventory improvement initiatives.
Ability to apply data analytic techniques to pinpoint opportunities and design and implement strategic initiatives.
Strong knowledge of core programming fundamentals and additional database tools including MySQL and GCP.
Strong organizational or project management skills.
Ability to manipulate large quantities of data to drive business decisions.
Statistical and data analysis skills.
Ability to create visualizations and communicate information to leadership.
Ability to translate requirements to functional software.
Knowledge of end-to-end Cell Site Build Process, Network Planning and/or System Performance processes.
Experience in multiple aspects of software development (requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, deployment, and performance tuning).
