Visit oxy.com for more information.We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Eng Advisor Risk within our International Exploration group based in Houston, TX.Responsibilities include:Serve as permitting and licensing lead for all geophysical, geoscience, and geotechnical surveys and studies.Coordinate with HSE, logistics, and quality control teams. Oversight of QCs and contractors.Responsible for budgeting, project management and preparation of bid packages.Review and assist with bid solicitations and tenders. Make contract award recommendations, audit technical performance, data quality, and deliverables.Establish procedures and processes for site characterization and survey contracts. Direct technical, commercial, and HSE teams for contract preparation, contractor bid evaluations, and contract clarifications.International travel may be required.Qualifications:Master's degree or higher in geophysics or geology.15-20 years of experience in the acquisition of geophysical, geoscience, and geotechnical surveys and contract negotiations.Exhibit proficiency in contract negotiations and project management, with a strong understanding of regulatory rules and legislation.Have a good overall understanding of all subsurface issues, covering functional understanding of geology and geophysics.Demonstrate ability to work closely with exploration teams to perform early conceptual survey/project design, planning, and economic evaluations.Have strong presentation and communication skills. Confident in representing the team and the company at internal and external technical and operational meetings.Articulate experience of being a self-starter; able to work independently and collaborate fully as part of a multi-disciplinary team, in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.Show examples of a positive, proactive attitude.
