This position works directly with a franchised business location.
ResponsibilitiesObtain patient vitals, medical history, and reason for visit, and prepare the patient for a physical examEnsure all ordered tests are performed accurately and in a timely mannerAdminister prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with the approved procedureDraw blood and preparation labs for reference lab processing and/or in-house processingPerform laboratory tests, lab-quality controls, and equipment maintenance according to written instructionsRespond to all lab messages and call back requestsPerform all drug screening procedures in accordance with established rules and regulationsEnsure patient immunizations are well documented and administered in accordance with the approved procedurePrepare exam rooms; sterilize instruments, equipment, and supplies for proceduresMaintain complete and accurate documentationQualificationsAMT-registered and AAMA Certified Medical Assistants are required.Two years of experience is preferred.Company OverviewAmerican Family Care (AFC) is one of the largest primary and urgent care companies in the U.S. providing services seven days a week on a walk-in basis.
