We are seeking an experienced Dental Surgery Assistant to join our dynamic periodontic team in Agawam, MA. As a vital member of our periodontic team, you will provide critical support in both preoperative and postoperative phases, ensuring that our patients receive unparalleled periodontal services. Schedule:Monday - Thursday1 Friday per month
Responsibilities:Preparing patient charts, recording treatment plans, and updating dental recordsOperating X-ray and 3D scanning equipment and developing radiographs for diagnostic purposesPreparing and sterilizing periodontal instruments, materials, and equipment following infection control and biohazard protocolsAssisting the periodontist with all chairside procedures, including operatory setup, anesthesia administration, and cleanupPreparing patients for periodontal procedures and monitoring vital signs during treatmentsProviding patients with information on periodontal health care, treatment plans, and postoperative care instructionsMonitoring and ordering supplies for periodontal treatments as requiredMaintaining instruments and equipment to ensure optimal operationPerforming other duties and tasks as periodically assigned
Requirements:High school diploma, GED, or equivalentCertified dental assistant program (preferred)1+ years of dental surgical assisting experienceRadiography certificationCPR Certified
