What this role is all aboutWe are looking for a Quality Assurance Technician II in Jerome, ID. The Quality Assurance Technician II collaborates with the Quality Assurance Supervisor and Manager to maintain consistency in protocols and procedures. This position helps maintain Agropur's commitment to food safety & quality by monitoring and verifying production parameters in accordance with Quality programs.
Starting pay $22.37$1.50 shift premium if night shiftDouble-time on SundaysProvide quality support in all aspects of the plant’s quality functions in compliance with plant and corporate level standard operating procedures (SOPs), good manufacturing practices (GMPs), and company safety policies.Uphold the organization's food safety, quality and employee safety requirements.Conduct routine quality inspections related to food production: finished product quality, regulatory, compliance, pest control, routine sanitation, employee GMPs, training compliance and HACCP compliance.
What you needHigh School Diploma or equivalent required.Knowledge of quality assurance procedures and sampling requirements required.Knowledge of HACCP, GMPs and regulatory agencies required.
Where you’ll be working:
Our Jerome, ID, plant is home to approximately 400 employees and processes approximately 7 million pounds of milk per day. This facility produces various types of cheeses, such as; mozzarella, cheddar, provolone, muenster, parmesan, romano, Monterey jack, gouda, and asiago. They also run various whey streams, such as; deproteinized whey, sweet dairy whey, GMP, permeate, instantized, and our top-rated BiPro products.
Agropur’s US operations produce approximately 1 billion pounds of quality, award winning cheese each year. The US operations produce more than 20 different cheese varieties along with whey protein and dry ingredients.
