Investment segment accounts are new business to Verizon and is critical to unlocking the revenue growth potential across Verizon Business Group.The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of complex solutions; a broad industry knowledge; a command of networking technologies across both wireline and wireless domains and associated technologies. This role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong matrix management, and outstanding leadership competencies. Lead the Global Solutions organization for Investment accounts in North America; drive excellence in the presales process through solution development, outcome-based solutioning and deal closure through strategic engagement to maximize sales efforts and revenue creation
Work seamlessly with the Solution Design and Enablement practice to provide scale and develop efficient working practices.
Develop strong partnership across the practice areas of Security, Customer Experience and High Density Network, assisting in creation and identification of opportunities within the Investment account base.
Provide leadership to segment specific Sports & Venue practice, continuing the revenue growth whilst looking at expansion opportunities. Provide support to High Density Network practice to look at growth in college sport.
Lead transformation technology activities focusing on solving customer business problems in order to achieve revenue and bookings growth and quota attainment across Investment accounts in North America.
Provide leadership of opportunity teams to ensure engagement with key business stakeholders and subject matter experts, to build a holistic view of client strategy, processes and information technology assets.
Act as trusted advisor to segment sales leaders, ensuring alignment and execution of strategic goals.
Develop and cultivate relationships with senior management and executive levels, both internally and externally. Partner with cross-functional teams including Product, Technology Services, GNT & 5G Acceleration to ensure fit of solutions to customer outcome needs.
Motivate organization to provide consistent, high-quality technical sales support and to identify and develop sales/service opportunities.
Participate in executive briefings and customer presentations.
Conduct periodic operations reviews with management team to maintain focus and cadence on excellence.
Demonstrate and encourage ongoing performance coaching to refresh, elevate, and unlock talent, and execute on Development Plans/Performance Improvement Plans when necessary in accordance with HR guidelines.
Manage travel and expense budget to 100% versus plan.
Provide timely market information, drivers, and customer feedback to partner organizations for product and technology positioning and enhancements.
What we're looking for...Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline and/or directly related equivalent experience; MS or MBA degree preferred
10+ years' experience in a variety of disciplines related to the architecting/solutions of IT technologies; experience in both wireline and wireless technologies a strong plus
Demonstrated record of direct management experience of managers of individual contributors, including workforce planning, coaching, and managing performance for large teams
Experience interfacing directly with senior leaders
Demonstrated ability to deliver effective customer presentations and customer-facing material
Demonstrated experience in financial analysis (i.e., P&L, ROI, cost analysis, business case development, etc.)
