Basic QualificationsRequires a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 2+ years of job-related experience or a Master's degree. Agile experience preferred.CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable period of time. This role offers a unique chance to become part of an innovative and dynamics work environment, contingent upon the availability of future positions.ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:As a member of our team, you will execute the following tasks:Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, system services, application software and system management tools for Linux systems, both natively and within virtual machinesMonitor and test application performance to identify issues with installation and performanceTroubleshoot Information Technology (IT) systems to diagnose and suggest/implement potential solutionsSupport physical hardware installation of IT computing equipment and cabling at both local and remote sites
Travel will be required.
Lead integration efforts of a designated subsystem, mentor junior software integratorsWe encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences:Bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering or other related field and 5 years' experience, or master's degree and 3 years experienceProfessional and experienced understanding of software engineering concepts, principles, and theories and skilled at applying technical standardsExperience installing, configuring and maintaining Linux-based systemsExperience with shell scripting (e.g., bash, ksh, csh, tcsh, etc.)Ability to grasp and apply new information quickly and handle ever increasing responsibility and assignments with growing complexityTakes initiative on assignments and professional execution of projects with little directionSolid knowledge of software tools supporting Integrated Development Environments (IDE), version control, defect reporting and scriptingWhat sets you apart:Submarine Tactical experience, particularly with combat systems operationsCurrent IAT Level I certifications
