You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including creative strategists, writers, creative directors, designers and project managers to distill insights and creative strategies into compelling ideas that create an authentic and meaningful dialogue with our audiences.RESPONSIBILITIESPartner with copywriters and other creatives to craft big ideas into compelling, customer-centric stories that deliver on Abbott’s purpose and promiseBring ideas and creative concepts to life through mood boards, key visuals and storytellingParticipate in and lead effective brainstorming sessionsProvide art direction at photography and video shootsLead designers through the creative process to take work from concept to design to final executionEffectively present big idea thinking, creative concepts and designs to internal clients.Develop creative that’s aligned with approved brand and messaging guidelines to ensure a consistent and cohesive expression of the Abbott brandREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS5+ years of art direction or senior graphic design experience within an internal or external agencyBachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts or related field.Strong portfolio demonstrating an ability to develop breakthrough creative ideas that deliver on creative and brand strategiesAbility to work within a singular brand with a commitment to unleash its full creative potentialExperience presenting creative ideas to internal clients and teamsAt least two years of experience leading a team of designers from concept to completionAbility to gracefully handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environmentProficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office* Participants who complete a short wellness assessment qualify for FREE coverage in our HIP PPO medical plan.
