The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of patent litigation experience, particularly in district court, and a background in electrical/computer engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, or a similar field. Practice experience before the International Trade Commission and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board is highly recommended. Superior academic credentials, excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills, and admission to the Patent Bar are required.Duties:Represent clients in high-stakes patent litigation matters, including district court cases and proceedings before the International Trade Commission (ITC) and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB).Draft and file pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents related to patent litigation.Conduct and manage all phases of discovery, including depositions, document review, and interrogatories.Work closely with clients to understand their technologies, products, and business objectives, providing strategic legal counsel to protect and enforce their intellectual property rights.Collaborate with technical experts, including engineers and scientists, to develop and present complex technical arguments in litigation.Prepare and deliver oral arguments in court, as well as participate in hearings and trials.Stay abreast of legal and technological developments in the high-tech industry to provide informed advice to clients.Participate in patent portfolio management and analysis, advising clients on the strength and scope of their IP assets.Assist with patent prosecution as needed, including drafting and filing patent applications and responding to office actions.Contribute to business development efforts by participating in client pitches, industry events, and other networking opportunities.Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.Admission to the New York State Bar.Admission to the Patent Bar (USPTO).3-5 years of patent litigation experience, with a focus on high-tech industries.Background in electrical/computer engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, or a similar technical field.Experience with district court litigation, ITC proceedings, and PTAB trials is recommended.Superior academic credentials.Skills:Strong technical understanding of high-tech fields, particularly in electrical, computer, or mechanical engineering.Exceptional legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.Ability to distill complex technical information into clear, persuasive legal arguments.Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and technical experts.Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.Collaborative team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving and client service.Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality legal work.Company Info:BCG Attorney Search125 Park Avenue, 25th floorNew York, NY, United States 10017Phone:
