A law firm is seeking a Mid-Level Real Estate Finance Associate Attorney with at least 4 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial loan transactions, representing borrowers, lenders, and/or government-sponsored enterprises. This role involves reviewing, drafting, and negotiating loan documents, managing legal due diligence, and closing complex commercial real estate transactions. Experience with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and/or other multifamily lenders, as well as syndicated credit facilities, is a plus. The candidate should be comfortable training and managing junior associates and paralegals, and prior law firm experience is required.Duties:
Represent borrowers, lenders, and/or government-sponsored enterprises in commercial loan transactions.Review, draft, and negotiate loan documents.Manage legal due diligence, including organizational documents, ownership structure, title, survey, zoning, leases, and legal opinions.Manage and close complex commercial real estate transactions.Provide expertise on loans secured by multifamily housing, seniors housing, affordable housing, manufactured housing, and/or hotels.Train and manage junior associates and paralegals.Requirements:
Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.Prior law firm experience is required.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Detail-oriented and organized.Outstanding academic record.Education:
Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:
Admission to and in good standing with the Maryland Bar.Skills:
Proficient in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating loan documents.Experience with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and/or other multifamily lenders.Familiarity with syndicated credit facilities.Ability to manage and close complex commercial real estate transactions.Leadership skills for training and managing junior associates and paralegals.Job Location:
