Job Description
As an Electrical Technician at Select, the main responsibility to repair and install instrumentation and electrical equipment which may include but is not limited to:
The essential job functions include, but are not limited to
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems: data, communications, power.
- Set up flow meters and pump controllers. Solder wiring connections when necessary.
- Test pumps and other devices to assure operational readiness.
- Familiarity with electrical generators, 3 phase 240 and 480 volt systems.
- Devices used: Vacon, Hydro-valve, International Dioxide, Seametrics, George Fischer, Endress-Hauser Graco, Micro-motion, and others.
- Connections: 6 and 10 pin analog, Amphenol and JReady.
- Minor electrical repairs on vehicles.
- Ability to travel: We have operations in Colorado, Utah, Wyoming. This position may require travel to location to repair a problem with short notice.

Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Some technical training or college courses in electrical fields preferred.
- 5-10 years of related experience in a chemical facility.
- Experience operating machinery – welding machine, torch, power tools.
- Experience operating motor vehicles – forklift, man lift, golf cart, truck.
- Computer skills: Excel, Word, Jobmaster, and ability to learn new programs.
- Availability to be on-call when necessary for afterhours and weekend work.
- Available for mandatory overtime when necessary to repair critical issues.
- Hands on attitude to get things done with the ability to manage change.

Compensation Information
Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.
Physical Demands and Exposures
- Work is regularly performed in outside weather conditions, including rain and extreme cold and heat, near moving mechanical parts; exposure to high wind, ice, snow, wet and/or humid conditions, vibration, and dust is expected.
- Exposure to noise levels requiring the use of hearing protection.
- Prolonged sitting, standing, walking.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to individually lift: Maximum 50 lbs
