Job Title: IT Asset Management Team Lead

Job Overview :

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an IT Asset Management Team Lead. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT asset management practices, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to effectively manage a team of asset management specialists. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the tracking, maintenance, and optimization of our organization's IT assets, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

This position is a hybrid position based in Louisville, KY or Evansville, IN.

Key Responsibilities :

Team Leadership : Lead and mentor a team of IT Asset Management Specialists, providing guidance, support, and direction to ensure the team's success in meeting organizational goals and objectives.IT Asset Lifecycle Management : Develop and implement strategies for the effective management of IT assets throughout their lifecycle, from procurement to retirement, including tracking, inventory management, and disposal procedures.Asset Tracking and Reporting : Oversee the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date records of all IT assets, including hardware, software, licenses, and warranties. Generate regular reports on asset utilization, performance, and compliance metrics for management review.Vendor Management : Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers involved in the procurement, maintenance, and support of IT assets. Negotiate contracts, agreements, and service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure optimal value and service delivery.Asset Optimization : Identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements in IT asset management processes and workflows. Implement initiatives to streamline asset procurement, allocation, and utilization across the organization.Qualifications

Qualifications :

At least 5 years of experience in IT asset management, with demonstrated expertise in asset tracking, inventory management, and compliance.Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role, with strong team management and interpersonal skills.In-depth knowledge of IT procurement processes, licensing agreements, and vendor management practices.Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and generate actionable insights.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.Preferred Experience :

Experience administering FreshService, ServiceNow, or similar IT service management (ITSM) platforms.Familiarity with Intune, Jamf, or similar MDM platforms.Experience reconciling data sets within Excel.Knowledge of scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python, or similar) to automate routine tasks, call API's, and improve processes.Working towards IT Asset Manager (CITAM) or similar certification.
