Job Description:
Are you a skilled Data Links/Networking Engineer looking to contribute to critical Special Operations Forces/Personnel Recovery missions?
Join our team and leverage your expertise to design, develop, and deploy cutting-edge communication systems. As a Data Links/Networking Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless interoperability between air-to-air and air-to-ground communications.
Key Responsibilities:Interoperability Engineering:
Provide expert guidance and support for designing, developing, and integrating data link systems that adhere to industry standards (MIL-STDs 6016 and 6017).Network Architecture:
Develop and maintain robust network architectures to facilitate efficient data transmission and ensure compliance with Air Force Systems Interoperability Testing (AFSIT) and Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) certifications.Technical Documentation:
Prepare comprehensive documentation, such as performance requirements and system integration plans, to support various engineering activities.Systems Integration:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of data link systems into broader aviation platforms.Compliance:
Adhere to relevant regulations and standards, including MIL-HDBK-516, MIL-STD-882, and AFI 63-1201, to maintain system safety and airworthiness.Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an ABET-accredited university, plus 12 years of relevant engineering experience, including at least 6 years in systems, flight systems, avionics, software, or test for the DoD. A Master's Degree in an engineering field (EE preferred) is also acceptable with 12+ years of experience.Experience:
Proven track record in designing, developing, and integrating data link systems within the defense industry.Security Clearance:
Active Secret security clearance is mandatory due to the sensitive nature of the work.Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of data link protocols (J-Series, K-Series, VMF), network architectures, and systems integration processes.
