This Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for: Various studies of new therapies for food allergy and atopic dermatitis (AD) including oral and epicutaneous immunotherapy, fecal transplantation and systemic therapies for AD. Specific responsibilities will includeRecruiting patientsCoordinating patient visits, completing paperworkPerform physical exams during research visitsConducting food challenges, desensitizations, updosings and fecal transplantations.Point person for patient calls with concerns or reactionsActive member of food allergy research groupSeeing patients in allergy clinic 2 ½ day sessions weeklyBoth food allergy and general allergy patientsSome sessions may be in a satellite locationConduct food challenges on Fegan 6 and in the Center for Translational researchServing as a liaison to CTSU for food allergy and atopic dermatitis studies
To qualify, you must have:A Master's in Nursing and FNP or PNP CertificationMassachusetts APRN, DEA, and MCSR licensesPediatric NP experience or Boston Children's Hospital RN experience preferredSuperb communication skills, flexibility and demonstrated ability to work as a teamStrong organizational skills, attention to detail and meticulous follow-throughStrong written and verbal skillsThe ability to work 40 hours a week- this position is temporary for 6 months and is not benefits eligible.
