What You'll Do in This Position

Purpose of Position

Support the security of SRS resources through designing/implementing/evaluating measures tied to the NIST Core Cyber Framework: Identify, Detect, Respond and Recover.

Major Responsibilities

Investigate, design, and develop software and/or hardware security technologies for SRS. Work with vendors to develop technical solutions for site computer security needs. Maintain the integrity of computer workstations, servers, and networks by maintaining access controls and software lifecycle process as needed. Ensure data integrity and confidentiality through implementing the use of both encryption and data retention technologies. Increase technical abilities through specialized vendor training, manuals and technical journals, software seminars, informational meetings, and practical experience. Ensure that site/company policies and procedures are tied to customer requirements and are evaluated for effectiveness and proper implementation.

Qualifications We Desire

•Well versed in the Risk Management Framework and Cybersecurity Framework.•Experience in the development, review, and dissemination of security policies, procedures, and technical documents/reports.•Conduct risk assessments, security assessments.•Ability to produce various types of documents detailing processes or procedures tied to cybersecurity requirements and best practices.•Ability to learn new topics and teach them to peers.•Ability to lead a team with diverse skills to ensure the proper cybersecurity posture is maintained across multiple boundaries and companies.•Technical writing experience and certification is preferred.•Experience with working directly with customers to understand and implement requirements.•CISSP, CISA, CISM, CRISC, certifications preferred.•PMP or project management experience preferred.

Bachelor degree in an IT related discipline (e.g., Information Technology, Computer Technology. Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering)

Security Clearance Information

SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
