Previous work experience as a pediatric
Physical TherapistExcellent knowledge of principles and practices of physical therapyExperience using electronic records managementFamiliarity with assessment tools and ability to perform quality evaluationsAbility to work constructively with children with various types of personalities and diagnoses to facilitate each child's highest level of functionTakes initiative to remain current in clinical practice and demonstrates drive to continually learn and grow in the professionMaintains professional demeanor and is responsible for quality care in interactions with patients and family membersExcellent interpersonal communication skills (English and Spanish preferred)Qualifications/Requirements
Valid Florida license to practice Physical Therapy.Current Medicaid number.Enroll as an Early Steps provider.Carry professional liability insurance of $1M-$3M and obtain a COI (coverage of insurance) and add The Arc of South Florida and Easter Seals as additional insurance.

The Arc of South Florida is a nationally affiliated agency that provides advocacy, programs, and services for persons with disabilities. Established in 1958, with a children's division added in 1978, the Arc now serves children at locations in Florida City, Kendall, and Miami Gardens. The Arc offers a variety of children's programs, including the B-2 (birth to two years old) Early Intervention program, Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten, ELC School Readiness, Unique Abilities, and after-school and summer camp programs funded by The Children's Trust.
The Arc operates year-round and provides both education and therapy, including speech-language, occupational, and physical therapy services. The Arc is recognized as a community leader in providing services for children with developmental differences and disabilities and has established partnerships with many respected community entities.
