Job SummaryEmployees are responsible for the day-to-day operations in final assembly to complete quality inspections and ensure the installation of covers, nameplates, and racks for polymer concrete boxes.
Responsibilities:Perform the final inspection of product for visible defects and quality.Patch and sand product using spatula, sanding brick/pumice stone, and chipping hammer.Use an overhead crane to safely lift and move boxes and covers.Installation of hardware and faceplates using drill, mallet, adhesives, and torque gun.Maintaining a clean work area and tools.Wearing all appropriate PPE.Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
Ability to give full attention, ask questions and understand verbal and written commandsRead instructions and isometric drawingsKnowledge of production environmentKnowledge of and ability to use common power tools such as hammers, drills, grinders, and hoistsKnowledge of basic math, reading and writingUse of judgement and ability to perform in an industrial environmentAbility to meet the physical demands of the job including standing for long periods of time and lifting heavy loads of up to 50 pounds, etc.Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks, standing, stooping, walking and being aware of the plant production procedure.Desired Experience
6 months to 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment OR experience working in fast-paced environment where assembly line methods are used is preferred.Exposure to manufacturing practices, shop floor techniques and/or assembly line practices is preferred.6 months to 1 year experience operating tools and performing functions of similar skills mentioned above is preferred.
