Vice President, Commercial Product Marketing

Directs planning and execution for all product marketing functions for the organization. Provides vision for overall product strategy and product development roadmap. Provides for the production and execution of marketing activities through subordinate managers and supervisors. Confers with customers to evaluate and promote possibilities for improved and expanded products and marketing. Provides top management with market value estimates and conditions. Sets pricing, provides input to sales aids and advertising promotional programs.

May include:• Lead product marketing planning process and activities.• Lead, manage and mentor a team of product managers and related personnel.• Own product roadmap and communicate with C-level staff, board members and other key stakeholders.• Supports organization strategic planning and execution.• Creates and organizes product marketing approach and budget.• Conducts research and analysis of market conditions.• Leads product extension and new commercial product development.• Manage commercial and VRV product strategy, including category and product selection, product launch planning and execution, and pricing and promotion to achieve sales and gross margin targets.• Measure, test and improve promotional campaigns for greatest impact.• Perform market research and solicit and incorporate customer feedback to improve product offerings and adoption within a dynamic market and competitive environment.• Become Champion/Expert of assigned product line for both internal and external audiences.• Perform additional projects/duties to support ongoing business needs.

Knowledge & Skills:• Advanced knowledge of entire direct selling process; including overcoming objections & closing the sale.• Experience in developing and leading a sales force in multiple locations.• Understands retail marketing techniques.• Knowledge of the product manufacturing processes.• Knowledge of development, implementation, and tracking of projects.• Develop and analyze budgets and expenses to achieve results.• Intermediate computer - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, CRM.• Ability to facilitate an effective meeting.• Speaks and writes in a clear and concise manner.• Conflict resolution for staff and customers.• Effective use of negotiation techniques.• Sets clear and specific short and long term performance goals and expectations for self and employees.• Ability to develop and implement long and short range tactical plans.• Takes a proactive role in bringing about change.• Makes timely decisions and judgment calls in an honest forthright manner.• Remains calm under high stress conditions.

Experience & Education:• 15+ years of marketing related experience with P&L responsibilities• 10+ years of people management experience• Bachelor's degree in Marketing• MBA preferred
