Job Description
The IT Support Specialist I provides support on computer hardware and software on our Las Vegas Region IT Property Operations team. The Support Specialist will support end users in the installation, upgrade and troubleshooting hardware and software systems at our eight Las Vegas casino properties and back-office facilities.
Responsibilities include:Address user tickets regarding hardware, software, and networkingWalk customers through installing applications and computer peripheralsIdentify issues that require escalation.Customize desktop applications to meet user needsAssist with special event or project related equipment setupsDirect unresolved issues to the next level of support personnelPerform duties as assignedQualifications:
1 year computer operations experience in an iSeries and/or Windows server environment. Experience to include knowledge of basic system commands and error message recognition.Working knowledge of office automation products and computer peripherals, such as printers and scannersExcellent problem solving and multitasking skillsCustomer-oriented attitudeCollege diploma or equivalent experience preferredCompTIA's A+, Network+, or Security+ (preferred, but not required)Ability to lift to 40 poundsAbility to walk 3+ miles a day through casino propertiesWork shifts varyNV gamingThis position does not have the ability to work remotely.
