Description
This position is responsible for weighing and packaging materials in the production department as well as loading and unloading trucks, labeling stock and non-stock materials, processing inbound and outbound freight bills, and completing any other tasks related to Shipping and Receiving.
Work Schedule : Monday-Friday, 7am-3pm
ResponsibilitiesDocuments/ Record Incoming raw material informationLoads, unloads, and picks materials as neededOperates heavy motorized material handling equipmentMoves material or merchandise to and from storage facilitiesExamines materials for damageStores and stacks items in accordance with established storage rules and methodsCounts and arranges inventory as neededAssembles, prepares, and checks merchandise to be loaded onto trucksEnsures shipments are properly labeled and packedObtains related documentation for each orderEnsures correct ingredients are delivered to the work areaMixes and weighs out ingredients to meet customer orders and specificationsSets up and starts any weigh-up or packaging machinery, checking all controls for adherence to operating/safety proceduresRemains aware of any issues or concerns with machinery and processesSupplies production laborers with appropriate materials and keeps all equipment operationalOther duties as assigned.Requirements

Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work process, and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environmentMust be able to read and follow manuals and proceduresMust have basic computer skillsMust be able to maintain a clean and safe workspaceMust have a positive attitudeMust be dependable and have excellent attendanceMust be willing and able to work overtime as needed, up to every other weekendMust be able to pass a forklift testMust be able to pass a respirator fit testMust be able to read, write, and speak EnglishEducation and Experience
Preferred high school diploma or equivalentPreferred forklift experiencePreferred previous manufacturing experiencePhysical Requirements and Working Conditions
