Job Title: Applications Engineer
Job Description
This position is responsible for accurately targeting and defining product design requirements and specifications, and developing designs to meet customer and internal production needs. You will prepare budgetary and firm costing for all projects within your defined market segments, and provide technical support to the Regional Sales Manager (RSM). This individual is primarily the liaison between engineering and sales. Answering technical questions from sales team, working with engineering to make sure drawings are accurate, working with upper management for pricing/quoting, etc.ResponsibilitiesAccurately define product design requirements and specifications.Develop designs to meet customer and internal production needs.Prepare budgetary and firm costing for projects.Provide technical support to the Regional Sales Manager.Collaborate with sales, manufacturing, mechanical, and production teams.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in engineering (chemical/environmental preferred).2+ years' experience as an Applications Engineer or in a related field.Strong Process Engineering, preferably in wastewater treatment.Proficiency in AutoCAD with 2+ years' experience.Strong technical and writing skills.Proficient in MS Office.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in bidding, process engineering, budgeting, mechanical and piping engineering, and sales processes.Knowledge in environmental, chemical, and civil engineering preferred.Work Environment
You will work 40 hours a week, from 8am to 5pm, in a cubicle within the new innovation center alongside other engineers. The team consists of two other applications engineers, and you will report to the Director of Applications Engineering.
