Interconnection Manager

The Interconnection Manager will support the Development team in generation interconnections, transmission service and electrical engineering designs of multiple renewable energy projects throughout the United States. This individual will report to the Sr. Director of Transmission.
Responsibilities
Manage the generator interconnection process schedule: accomplishment of milestones and due date of deposits (refundable and no refundable)Support interconnection requests: to meet technical and non-technical requirementsReview and report on electrical designs for collection system, project substations and gen-tiesReview and comment on interconnection feasibility, system impact, facilities and SSR studiesProvide summaries for interconnection studies and identify technical, schedule, and cost responsibility issues, risk assessment where appropriateSupport the management of additional studies: such as stability analysis and short circuit studies with consultants to support an interconnection technology modification.Support the management of Engineering and Procurement agreements, and pre-construction activities with utilities and ISO/RTOs.Research, evaluate and report on existing regulations and proposed changes: OATT tariffs, as well as new technologies such as storage/battery stand alone and hybrid project configurationsResearch and report on transmission system development projects (regulated and private) that benefit Scout's portfolio and new projectsManage monthly interconnection study/security deposit balances and refund statements with Scout's Accounting DepartmentReport interconnection cash budget projections to Scout's Accounting DepartmentSupport evaluation of viable POIs for new project opportunities: manage injection studies with consultantsLead group meetings, summarize key takeaways and disseminate to the executive team as needed. Meetings with project manager teams, utilities and ISO/RTOsSupport due diligence development activities in early and mid-stage projectsTravel as neededRequirements
A BS in electrical engineering or another engineering discipline7+ years of experience - power generation or renewable energy experience preferredPower System Analysis software proficiency, i.e., PSSE, PowerWorld, TARA, PSCADPrior Generator Interconnection, Transmission Planning, or related field experience preferredPrior ISO/RTO experience required, with experience in WECC-BPA-CAISO region highly preferred.PE license preferredSelf-motivator with exceptional communication skillsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailStrong interpersonal skills with the desire to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment to meet deadlines and complete time-sensitive dutiesGoogle Earth, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, Word proficiencyTimeline and Location
Scout aims to fill the Interconnection Manager position as soon as possible, ideally by early Q1 2025.
Our ideal candidate will be able to commute to our Boulder office on a 3/2 hybrid schedule. Remote candidates may be considered where candidates state this preference in their cover letter and are willing to travel to the Boulder office as required.

Benefits
Target base salary: $145,000-170,000. Negotiable for the right candidate. Attractive annual bonus potential.
