Your Role:
The Senior Director of Accounting will be a key contributor to the Elanco Corporate Accounting and Reporting team. The position is responsible for leading the corporate financial close process, corporate consolidation process and general accounting functions at Elanco including monthly closes, consolidation, intercompany, compensation, stock-based compensation, intangible and goodwill accounting, restructuring, inventory accounting, royalties, technical guidance and other accounting-related issues as they come up. The position will have interaction with other members of the Elanco Corporate Accounting and Reporting team, shared services, treasury, tax, manufacturing finance, business development and international affiliates.
Your Responsibilities:Ownership of the corporate consolidation processLead teams responsible for inventory reserves and compensation and benefits accountingOwnership of year-end audit and quarterly review processesPublish internal consolidated financial statementsOwnership of the Elanco Corporate Accounting and Reporting SOx processes and documentation complianceOversee upcoming go live of new consolidation systemProvide accurate and timely technical and operational accounting guidance to affiliates and business partnerIntegration of acquisitionsLead process improvement initiativesSupervision and development of staffWhat you need to succeed (minimum qualifications):
Education:
Bachelor's degree in accountingRequired Experience:
Active CPA Certification. Minimum 10 years of experience in public and/or corporate accounting. Minimum 3 years of experience in managing a team.Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skillsPersonal accountability and strong drive for execution and problem solvingQualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States.
