Position Summary
The Town of Breckenridge Public Works Department is seeking a uniquely qualified individual for the position of
Sustainability Intern.
The incumbent will assist in executing the programs and goals prioritized by the Town in the SustainableBreck Plan (2022), Water Efficiency Plan (2018), and Climate Action Plan (2019), among other initiatives. This position will work closely with the Sustainability team, Town residents, businesses, employees, and other community groups to execute sustainability policy and programs.
The Sustainability Intern will assist the Sustainability Manager with facilitating meetings, policy research, data analysis, monitoring and enforcement of ongoing programs, and implementing systems to improve coordination across departments and programs.Essential Job Functions

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED required.Must be pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Sustainability or a related field.LICENSES, CERTIFICATES OR EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:
Valid CO Driver's License required within 30 days of hire.DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:One (1) or more years of professional work experience in Sustainability or a related field.Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Sustainability or a related field preferred.
Additional Information
Hiring Pay Range: $20.50 - $$21.75 per hour.
WORK SCHEDULE:The schedule for this position varies, but is typically Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm. The incumbent will work approximately 30 hours per week.
